Bruno Vega

BrocoTree Animation is the label under which Bruno Vega releases his animated projects. He has loved animation for as long as he can remember, to the point that, at the age of 12, he decided to make a stop-motion feature film entirely on his own: Casa: Perros vs. Aliens (Casa: Dogs vs. Aliens), completed in 2020.

In 2021, he began studying computer animation and experimented with translating his style to 3D, which blends influences from Aardman, United Productions of America, and 90s gag anime. The result was Hula Hula, finished as his graduation project (TFG) in 2023.

Following that, he made the short film Behind the Ringtone (Detrás del Politono) as his final master's thesis. This short premiered at the 2024 edition of the CityBlue Films Festival, winning the Audience Award for Best International Student Short Film. Since then, it has been selected and/or nominated at numerous festivals and award ceremonies in Spain, the United States, India, Colombia, Italy, and Germany, was included in the national short films catalog at Weird Market 2025, and is now available on the streaming platform "Divergente".

Most recently, in 2026, he released Casa's Pirate Adventure, a new and ambitious short that aims to bring back the protagonists of his first feature film. It combines his 3D animation with 2D elements made by his colleagues Guillermo Willy Merino, Iago Ramilo, and Vir Enríquez, with whom he co-wrote the script and developed the entire visual and comedic style. The goal is to serve as a pilot for a potential animated series, while together they are turning BrocoTree into a production company that encompasses their various projects.
