We follow the misadventures of the worst alien in all of outer space: Martin the Little Martian, on his galactic quest to find a planet to conquer. Unfortunately for us, the chosen one is... THE EARTH!!
Our cosmic misfits attempt to dominate it by any means necessary, with Martin and his second-in-command, a living (and utterly brainless) brain named Cerebelo, leading the most disastrous invasion in the universe.
MARCIANITOS is the first short film from BrocoTree Animation as a production company. It is based on an original idea by Guillermo “Willy” Merino and is directed and written by him. Willy was one of the screenwriters and visual developers of "Casa's Pirate Adventure", and he handled all the 2D animation for that short and "Behind the Ringtone". "Marcianitos" combines his 2D character animation with 3D backgrounds created by Bruno Vega, and is currently in its early stages of development.
Martin the Martian
The purple leader of the Marcianitos comes from the clumsiest race in the galaxy, constantly messing up on land, sea, or zero gravity. But his bad temper and dark intentions will not stop him from conquering planet Earth, even if it is the last thing he does.
Cerebelo
He was born as the perfect conquest experiment for Martin, but unfortunately, he lacked brain cells. CEREBELO is not very smart, but he is quite talkative and friendly. He sees the good even in Earth's earthlings... while driving his tyrannical creator out of his mind.
The Mollusks
Every UFO needs a crew. In this case, we have tentacles. The Moluscos are Martin's colorful, octopus-like minions. They cannot speak, but they make a bubbling sound reminiscent of a Galician-style octopus.
